Skipped Back 10

Target has had a ton of designer collaborations come and go, so many that I can hardly keep up, but this latest preview of one of their upcoming collection really caught my eye, and so I had to post about it. Nylon has a preview. I love the floral prints, though my favorite is the green stripe dress (from what I can tell from this preview). The line launches in December, and though dresses and swimwear seem kind of season-inappropriate for late December, think of those gift cards you might be getting so that you can stock up for the coming spring!

I love BCBG Max Azria, but it's often a little more than I can afford unless I can find it at consignment or thrift...but now, that's made a little bit easier. BCBG is having a 70 percent off sale online where you can find goodies from suit jackets to cocktail dresses to jelly gladiator shoes.

For instance, you can get this white silk chiffon dress for $190.00, down from $380.00. Or perhaps you'd prefer to pick up this Canvas and Leather Shoulder Bag, down to $99.00 from $198.00.

Still a little pricey, yes, but for quality items that'll last a goodly time with a little care, it might just be worth it.

Lauren Conrad of The Hills fame was seen sporting this casual-cool outfit at LAX recently. Co-opt her style for less with this outfit:

So really, I shouldn't be buying any more clothing. The laundry I did this weekend helped pushed the closet to total capacity overload, but I want this dress which comes out at Target for the Richard Chai GO International collection this Sunday.

It's a little pricier than some of their other pieces, though, clocking in at $44.99, but I have a $5 coupon as well as a 10% off reward card...I mean, maybe it will be a terrible fit and fabric quality in person, but I love how it looks in this photograph.

Thoughts? Anyone else going to check out the collection this weekend? You can view the rest of the preview of the collection here at nitrolicious.com.

While I actually haven't seen much of her work, I love Rachel Bilson's style. She's consistently chic and polished, carrying off everyday streetwear style effortlessly. Also, as someone who is also 5'3" like herself, she's great at showing how to wear the right proportions on a petite frame without being overwhelmed by her clothes.

Top: Bloomer Silk Tunic, $27.80 at Forever21.
Shoes: Madden Girl "Frankyy" at Zappos.com
Sunglasses: Aviator Sunglasses, $19.50 at American Eagle Outfitter
Necklace: Sterling Silver pendant, $24.99 at Target
Purse: BC Catalina Clutch, $48.00 at Stevemadden.com

Maxi Dresses

I recently found a green Lux maxi dress at Goodwill and have been in love (and on the hunt) for maxi dresses ever since. It's great for when you just don't want to shave your legs but want to wear a dress anyway. Maxi dresses are great for the weekend or the beach with flip flops, thong sandals, or gladiator sandals, and if your workplace is casual enough, you can also wear them to the office (though maybe with a cardigan on if it has spaghetti straps, for instance).

The dress featured is from Ann Taylor Loft, but unfortunately it's already sold out online! (Retail price $89.00.)

Dress of the Day

Isaac Mizrahi for Target Silver and White "Bollywood" dress, $44.99 (only available online)

I've seen a version of this dress in pink and gold in the stores, but was really taken by the silver and white combo when I saw this online. You could say it goes along the lines of the "ethnic" prints that are in vogue right now without being too obvious and trendy in a this-dress-will-age-badly kind of way. (Also, can I just say, I hate how so much is lumped into the term "ethic" it's kind of gross to me in a sociological kind of way, but I digress. I mean, what is non-ethic?)

It's also available in black and gold, and while it looks as though the pink and gold one is no longer available online, I've seen it floating around various stores.
